CPA firm located in Jericho is seeking for a full time Staff Accountant
We are seeking a staff accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in tax preparation and filing for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct audits and review financial records for accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist clients with financial planning and budgeting.
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes.
- Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and tax laws.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification or progress toward obtaining CPA is preferred.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ATX,) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
